Before your appointment

Tell the clinic about antihistamines, previous severe reactions and asthma. Only change medicines according to its instructions.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
Testing includes application, an observation interval and clinical interpretation.
Hospital stay
Usually outpatient, without an overnight stay for the test itself. Preparation or additional tests may extend attendance.
Visits and repeat attendance
Plan one attendance for the test and a results discussion. The referral assessment and any repeat or additional tests may require separate visits; ask whether results can be discussed remotely.
Recovery and travel planning
A positive test shows sensitisation, not necessarily clinical allergy. The specialist interprets it with symptoms and plans avoidance or further testing if needed.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
