Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
Confirm the booked duration and whether a food diary is requested beforehand. A single consultation and a multi-session nutrition programme are different services.
Hospital stay
Usually outpatient; nutrition support can also form part of inpatient medical care.
Visits and repeat attendance
1 initial assessment followed by reviews to evaluate intake, symptoms and agreed goals. The number and spacing depend on the clinical need; ask whether follow-ups can be remote.
Recovery and travel planning
Ask for written recommendations that fit usual foods, language and medical treatment. Dietary changes do not replace necessary medical therapy.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

These country-specific sources document the service or its clinical use; their inclusion does not indicate a RAUQ partnership. Case acceptance, appointment availability and payment arrangements require separate provider confirmation.
