Clinical name
Laser epilation with a skin-appropriate laser system
German
Laserepilation / Laser-Haarreduktion
Czech
Laserová epilace

Targets pigment in hair follicles to reduce unwanted hair growth. Suitability and the device depend on skin type and hair colour. IPL is a different light technology, and complete permanent removal is not assured.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
Treatment time depends on the body area; confirm it with the clinic. Düsseldorf describes 5–8 sessions spaced 3–8 weeks apart as an example, not a guaranteed course or result.
Hospital stay
Outpatient treatment, normally without an overnight stay.
Visits and repeat attendance
Suitability assessment and repeated sessions are needed because hair grows in cycles. Ask whether a test patch and later maintenance visits are required.
Recovery and travel planning
Follow the clinician’s sun-protection and skin-care instructions. Discuss pigment changes, burns and realistic reduction before treatment.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

These country-specific sources document the service or its clinical use; their inclusion does not indicate a RAUQ partnership. Case acceptance, appointment availability and payment arrangements require separate provider confirmation.
