Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
NHS guidance describes appointments lasting 1–2 hours, sometimes longer. Canal anatomy, infection and retreatment affect the time needed.
Hospital stay
Usually dental outpatient care under local anaesthesia, without hospital admission.
Visits and repeat attendance
An examination and imaging are followed by treatment, usually over 2 or more appointments in NHS guidance. A definitive restoration or crown and later review may add visits.
Recovery and travel planning
Confirm temporary and final restoration dates before travel. Pain relief alone does not complete treatment of an infected tooth.

Sources & finding a provider

These country-specific sources document the service or its clinical use; their inclusion does not indicate a RAUQ partnership. Case acceptance, appointment availability and payment arrangements require separate provider confirmation.
