Before your appointment
Assessment includes nutrition, medical risk and readiness for lasting changes. Confirm the staged diet and monitoring programme before booking.
Time, hospital stay & appointments
Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.
- Procedure or course duration
- The surgical and admission plan is set after multidisciplinary assessment.
- Hospital stay
- Plan for inpatient care. The clinical team specifies the expected hospital nights, level of monitoring and any additional stay near the centre.
- Visits and repeat attendance
- Plan for preoperative assessment, one operation attendance or admission, and postoperative review. These are three planning stages, not a guaranteed total of three visits: tests, wound care or staged treatment may add appointments.
- Recovery and travel planning
- Diet progresses in stages under the bariatric team. Long-term nutritional review and blood tests remain necessary after returning home.

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
