Before your appointment

Discuss why tissue is needed, the target location and procedure-specific risks. The team reviews imaging and medicines before surgery.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
Imaging, anaesthesia, sampling and observation determine the admission plan.
Hospital stay
Plan for inpatient care. The clinical team specifies the expected hospital nights, level of monitoring and any additional stay near the centre.
Visits and repeat attendance
Plan for preoperative assessment, one operation attendance or admission, and postoperative review. These are three planning stages, not a guaranteed total of three visits: tests, wound care or staged treatment may add appointments.
Recovery and travel planning
Neurological monitoring follows sampling. Pathology and molecular results can take different amounts of time and guide the next treatment discussion.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
