Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
NHS guidance gives 2–3 hours, depending on the extent of surgery. The operating surgeon provides the personal estimate.
Hospital stay
NHS guidance describes 1–2 nights; Asklepion’s published pathway includes an overnight clinic stay. Discharge depends on recovery.
Visits and repeat attendance
Surgical consultation and preoperative assessment, 1 admission, then repeated wound and healing checks. Ask which early checks require remaining near the clinic.
Recovery and travel planning
Recovery takes weeks rather than the length of the hospital stay. Confirm the support-garment plan, lifting restrictions and return-travel clearance.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

These country-specific sources document the service or its clinical use; their inclusion does not indicate a RAUQ partnership. Case acceptance, appointment availability and payment arrangements require separate provider confirmation.
