Discuss breathing, previous nasal surgery and the desired change. Functional septal correction and cosmetic reshaping may need a combined plan.
Time, hospital stay & appointments

- Procedure or course duration
- NHS example: 1½–3 hours; admission may be 1–2 nights.
- Hospital stay
- Plan for inpatient care. The clinical team specifies the expected hospital nights, level of monitoring and any additional stay near the centre.
- Visits and repeat attendance
- Plan for preoperative assessment, one operation attendance or admission, and postoperative review. These are three planning stages, not a guaranteed total of three visits: tests, wound care or staged treatment may add appointments.
- Recovery and travel planning
- Splint and wound reviews occur before full swelling settles. Final appearance develops over months; confirm restrictions and local review dates before travelling.
