Before your appointment

Discuss the route of surgery and whether the cervix or ovaries are removed. These decisions affect recovery, fertility and hormonal implications.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
NHS example: admission can be up to 5 days; full recovery may take 6–8 weeks.
Hospital stay
Plan for inpatient care. The clinical team specifies the expected hospital nights, level of monitoring and any additional stay near the centre.
Visits and repeat attendance
Plan for preoperative assessment, one operation attendance or admission, and postoperative review. These are three planning stages, not a guaranteed total of three visits: tests, wound care or staged treatment may add appointments.
Recovery and travel planning
Lifting, wound and pelvic restrictions depend on the procedure. Arrange pathology review where applicable and practical support during recovery.

Sources & finding a provider

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
