Before your appointment

Assessment confirms suitability and tubal patency where indicated. The appointment is timed to ovulation and may require scans or hormone tests.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
NHS example: insemination itself usually takes no more than 10 minutes.
Hospital stay
Usually a sequence of outpatient visits; procedures requiring sedation add recovery time. The clinic confirms any need to stay nearby.
Visits and repeat attendance
Assessment, cycle monitoring and any procedure or results appointments are scheduled separately. The number depends on the protocol and response; ask which steps may safely be arranged in your home country.
Recovery and travel planning
Follow the clinic’s pregnancy-test date and medicine instructions. Further cycles are a separate clinical decision, not an automatic fixed course.

Sources & finding a provider

Editorial source check: 29 October 2026. This is educational information, not an individual clinical assessment.

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
