Travel health & vaccination

Travel-health advice depends on destination, itinerary, health and prior vaccination. Some vaccines require advance planning or a recognised centre; routine protection should also be reviewed.

Procedure guides

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Vaccination and catch-up review

Reviews documented vaccinations, age, health risks and travel plans to identify indicated doses. The clinician uses current national recommendations and product-specific schedules; this is not a fixed vaccine package.

Clinical terms

Use these clinical terms when discussing a referral or looking for a provider. Focused care areas may sit within a broader medical specialty.

Vaccines are selected by age, previous doses, health and exposure risk under German or Czech guidance. Combination vaccines may cover several infections. Exposure-related rabies care is urgent and should not wait for travel coordination.

Screening is intended for people without symptoms of the condition being screened for. Eligibility depends on age, risk factors, family history and national guidance. Symptoms require diagnostic assessment. The list is not a recommendation to undergo every test.

Planning your care

Ask the treating service for a written plan. Appointment numbers and time away depend on the procedure, results and individual needs.

  • Which assessments or treatments address your own risks or symptoms, and what is their expected benefit?
  • Ask which clinician assesses suitability and which activities are medical care, rehabilitation or general wellness.
  • Confirm the session timetable, medical reviews, accommodation, accessibility and services charged separately.
