Before your appointment

Provide seizure descriptions and medicine details. Sleep preparation, if requested, must follow the paediatric team’s instructions.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
The service confirms the recording and preparation time for the child’s protocol.
Hospital stay
Usually outpatient, without an overnight stay for the test itself. Preparation or additional tests may extend attendance.
Visits and repeat attendance
Plan one attendance for the test and a results discussion. The referral assessment and any repeat or additional tests may require separate visits; ask whether results can be discussed remotely.
Recovery and travel planning
The result is interpreted with the child’s history and development. Ask whether another recording or paediatric-neurology review is needed.

Sources & finding a provider

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
