Before your appointment

Discuss imaging, repairability and alternatives. Plan help with dressing, washing and daily tasks while the arm is protected.

Time, hospital stay & appointments

Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.

Procedure or course duration
Duration depends on tear size, tendon quality and the repair technique.
Hospital stay
Often arranged as day surgery, with observation before discharge. Some patients need an overnight stay; confirm an escort, local support and the centre’s discharge criteria.
Visits and repeat attendance
Plan for preoperative assessment, one operation attendance or admission, and postoperative review. These are three planning stages, not a guaranteed total of three visits: tests, wound care or staged treatment may add appointments.
Recovery and travel planning
A sling and staged movement programme are commonly needed. Strengthening and return to overhead activity follow the surgeon’s rehabilitation protocol.

Sources & finding a provider

The specialty directories below help you research providers in each country; they do not confirm this procedure at every centre. The receiving service confirms eligibility, availability and international-patient acceptance. Procedure-specific clinical references are listed separately.
