Time, hospital stay & appointments
Times are planning guides, not national averages or guaranteed schedules. They reflect published provider examples and patient guidance. The treating team confirms the individual plan, time needed near the clinic and fitness to travel. Waiting lists are not included.
- Procedure or course duration
- Treatment is organized in cycles with recovery intervals. Masaryk describes breaks commonly lasting 2–3 weeks; weekly and other schedules also exist. A cycle can contain several administration days, so cycles and visits are not interchangeable.
- Hospital stay
- Day-unit treatment, oral treatment at home or an inpatient stay may be appropriate depending on the regimen and monitoring needs. Infusion duration alone does not describe the time required at the hospital.
- Visits and repeat attendance
- Initial oncology review, laboratory checks and clinical assessment before treatment, each scheduled administration, and response assessments. The provider must specify the regimen, number of cycles and days per cycle before a meaningful total visit count is possible.
- Recovery and travel planning
- Agree who manages side effects between cycles and how urgent oncology care is accessed. Travel must fit the blood-test and treatment schedule, including possible postponements.
Sources & finding a provider

These country-specific sources document the service or its clinical use; their inclusion does not indicate a RAUQ partnership. Case acceptance, appointment availability and payment arrangements require separate provider confirmation.
